Should the district include tornado shelters on each campus if it means an additional 10-12% in costs for those facilities?
By building new multi-purpose rooms/gyms at the elementary schools, the district is able to repurpose the old multi-purpose room space for academic programs at a cheaper cost than adding on classrooms. Do you agree with this approach?
Understanding the district needs to be able to compete with surrounding districts for our own boundaries, retain our own students, and attract new students, how important is it for the district to improve its facilities?

The district asked for $35.7 million to complete projects at each school in November at a cost of 24.5 cents per home increase on the tax levy. Knowing the district’s tax rate is one of the lowest in the area, what range of costs for projects would you be willing to support in the Springfield Platteview Community Schools?
